Know your rights! This free event at the London College of Communication gives a basic introduction to the laws of information protection, giving you the basics on how to protect your ideas and make money from them.
Once you start selling your work, or even putting it out online to publicise and promote it, there are dangers that every creative professional should be aware of. This introductory module, held by own-it.org, not only gives you the lowdown on how to protect your work (and prevent others from stealing or copying it to make money of their own), but also gives you valuable information on how to use your work as an asset and, by being clever, to manage your rights in such a way that you make more money and grow your business.
Specialist solicitor Silas Brown (of the Intellectual Property firm Briffa) will be the speaker, and will open up the room for any questions you might have.
The event is designed for new own-it members, who haven't attended an intellectual property event previously. A great introduction and full of advice that will be worth more than its weight in gold.
