In a new collaborative competition, jotta have teamed up with the The Barbican Centre to invite the jotta community to create an original Surrealist artwork with the chance to be exhibited during The Surreal House season at The Barbican Centre.

jotta’s platform for contemporary art practice, jottaContemporary, curates The Marquise Went Out at Five O’clock in partnership with Edel Assanti Project Space.

jottaContemporary presents an exhibition exploring the relationship between aestheticism and corruption, where the enchantment of decadence reveals undertones of perverse animal instinct and deviant beauty. Drawing inspiration from a classic Victorian fiction by Oscar Wilde.

For six weeks Matt Roberts Arts Project Space will be hosting OpenFORUM – a series of workshops, talks, screenings and performances presented by professional development organisations, artist-led groups, curators and publications. OpenFORUM is intended to link up practitioners with organisations and individuals that can help them further their professional ability and knowledge, and broaden their peer group. jotta will be speaking!
