jotta went along to the Chelsea Summer Show to view the fantastic shortlist of artists who had entered the Chelsea Student Awards in the hope of winning the jotta prize; an exhibition in jotta’s new online project space for contemporary art. We were suitably impressed by Francis Brady’s digital installation – a collection, verging on obsession, combining and his own stories and history to make a catalogue of data and digital travel.

Joshua Datu: Icebergs and Dreamscapes

Joshua Datu, who once turned trash to art, has dumped the rubbish and turned to the computer to create a stunning series of digitally manipulated images. The Central Saint Martins student tells jotta about the spectrum of mediums he explores, from balloons to chalkboards to ink and paper.
