bubblebyte.org is a web-specific platform that explores a synergy between imagination and reality, virtual and factual, abstract and actual, leading visitors throughout a multilayered and unexpected wandering.
Online project bubblebyte.org is a container and content, artist and gallery, showcasing artistic practitioners that engage with the given digital space in various formats, exhausting the multiple possibilities of the media.
Il Labirinto di Cristallo, bubblebyte.org’s most recent project launches tonight with a web-based private viewing of the artworks on display: 7 pm - 11 pm GMT (2-6pm EST / 11am – 3pm PDT).
Il Labirinto di Cristallo sources inspiration from the early 1990s British TV program The Crystal Maze. Conceived as a journey set around different areas, visions and artistic approaches, Il Labirinto di Cristallo extends and stresses visual possibilities in a playful and kaleidoscope mode that flirts with space and time displacement within the virtual.
The featured artists are Nicolas Sassoon, Alexandra Gorczynski, Lewis Teague Wright, Sabrina Ratté, Constant Dullart, Hayley Silverman, Sam Sanford, John Michael Boling & Javier Morales, Maya Stocks & Kathryn Ferguson, Clare L. Evans, Jamie Martinez, Ben Aqua, Anatoly Demidov, Parker Ito, Damon Zucconi, Emilio Gomariz, John Lawrence, Alistair Owen, Tim Steer.
Il Labirinto di Cristallo can be viewed online from 26/07/11 - 02/09/11
