Im looking for someone to create a few logo options for use in my final major project. Im on the BA Footwear design degree at LCF. Examples of my work will be shown so an appropriate logo can be produced. Im not looking for masses of work here just someone who know what they are doing. Would be a great mini project for a portfolio ( I will supply you with examples of the logo in use etc). Email s.shepherd9@fashion.arts.ac.uk

Since graduating from the London College of Fashion with 1st Class honours, Robert (Bert) Elford has enjoyed a great deal of success as a commercial fashion designer. He has created garments for Ted Baker, Penguin, Joystick junkies and designed key pieces that were shown in London based designer Nico-D's London Fashion week show.
With 2010 fast approaching, Bert's attention has now turned to creating his own namesake company . His nihilistic digital graphics work playfully with simple oversized silhouettes, to create discordant aesthetic for a brand new decade. Bert's work has a heavy political subtext, influenced by post modern humanism and counter cultural thinking. Which in it self is a nod to his greatest design influence and life long hero Vivienne Westwood. Other key influences include the film director David Lynch and the nightmarish paintings of Sir Francis Bacon.

Myself and my partner on the Arts London paper are looking to get in contact with UAL graduates.
We want to hear about your journey from the cotton wool lifestyle of UAL going out into the big bad world.
In short we want to know who you are, where you are and quite literally- how you are? We're thoughtful like that.
Please get in touch, would be great to hear your story!

Four LCC students have designed a live interactive platform on the Wieden+Kennedy windows at Hanbury Street (off Brick Lane). It is an experimental piece which invites the public (on the street, and via Skype) to participate. It is a bit like playing with dolls, but in life-size and real-time.
Two mannequins have had enough of sitting by the window display, and came out to the street to hang out - they are dying to meet you

Now that the credit crunch has hit and Damien Hurst's artwork is only reaching 3 million instead of 10 million are people making art now only for the love of it and not for the financial gain? Does it make us more inventive with the way we approach our practice, our materials and our exhibitions? Or is it that the lack of money means that people wont take risks with what artwork they choose to buy and so young artists will have trouble finding any kind of support, funding or backing?
