Royal College of Art fashion design students were challenged by Esprit to create an innovative collection of ‘must have’ garments that represent the new Esprit vision, resulting in a capsule of collection of sustainable knitwear and prints by three new fashion talents for AW2012.

Who are London’s next big fashion designers? With this summer’s graduate shows in full swing, there couldn’t be a better time for star-spotting, and where better to start than the students behind the three award-winning collections from London College of Fashion’s BA course? Here they tell us how they plan to make their mark on the fashion world.

In a project commissioned by the British Fashion Council and Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation, nine pairs of top British fashion designers and contemporary artists have collaborated to synthesise art and fashion. The project pulled impressive names from both fields including Giles Deacon and Jeremy Deller, Hussein Chalayan and Gavin Turk — even more remarkable was the work the duos came up with.
