Lina Ekstrand | Eunsuk Hur | Jonathan Ridge | Alex Shepherd
To celebrate the opening of London Fashion Week Future Form will launch with an interactive fashion installation, featuring fashion and textile experiments from London graduates.
Kathryn Ferguson’s fashion films adorn the window, Cherry Hurren's lifesize dolls, featured in Vogue and Harvey Nicholls, are dressed in designs from Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion students, while Rita Parniczky’s dreamy textiles and magical paper-cut accessories create an immersive entrance into our temporary fashion wonderland.
Lina Ekstrand
Swedish illustrator Lina Ekstrand explores artistic methods that exist between hand drawn illustrations and digitally manipulated imagery. Here she takes influence from Central Saint Martins graduate of MA Fashion Design, Humpus Berggren, who was in turn inspired by Christo & Jeanne Claude’s wrapping projects and 50’s Couture. Ekstrand’s work has been published in both UK and Europe, and exhibited in London, Sweden and Mexico.
Eunsuk Hur
Central Saint Martins graduate, Eunsuk Hur, creates intricate and enchanting worlds as she pushes the boundaries of fashion and interior design by exploring unlikely materials and the future of textile design. Her work has recently been showcased in the world-touring exhibition, Warp Factor 09, Japanese Vogue and Elle Magazine.
Jonathan Ridge
Ridge’s painterly skills are marked with intensity, offering great detail to the construction and erosion of form. Exploring colour through the process of painting itself, Ridge’s work offers the viewer a concatenation of implied narratives. Since graduating Ridge has exhibited in galleries in London and Newcastle.
Alex Shepherd
Camberwell School of Art Graduate, Alex Shepherd, exhibits his mesmerising moving image piece 11088 Failed Circles. The piece confronts the idea of perfection and addresses the concept of geometry as one that exists only within our perception of reality more than within its own physicality.
