For those in the biz, London Fashion Week is generally a whirlwind of frantic racing between catwalks for 10 minutes of models stomping down a runway. Not, however, at the serene enclave that was the Saloni presentation. With giant paper origami sets created by jotta and Emma Rios, the London based, Indian-born designer Saloni used the stunning setting of the Royal Institute of British Architects to reenact the Japonisme atmosphere which inspired her collection.

We spoke to the ever-smiling Saloni, designer, Vogue columnist, about the inspiration behind her collection and her creative vision for the presentation, which included set design, comic series and illustration.
