The king and queen of pattern, Eley Kishimoto, aka Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, turn twenty this year, and their impressive oeurvre of design spans of course their fashion label, plus interiors, products, shoes, even boat sails! Their signature Flash print and more will be on show at Aram Gallery during London Fashion Week and London Design Festival.

Gravity Rush is a new PlayStation game with graphics inspired by French sci-fi comic artist, Moebius, responsible for graphics on films like The Fifth Element and Alien. Watch the concept film for the game here.

Emerging and aspiring designer? Then you shouldn’t miss this! On Wednesday 23rd November, the Design Museum opens late to host ‘Designer Night’, an evening of talks and networking that focuses on issues facing emerging designers entering the UK and international design scenes.

There’s been a furor in the design world over the absence of designers in the stellar cast of commissioned posters for London 2012. Instead the committee has released a block buster array of YBA’s and renowned British artists, from Tracey Emin to Chris Ofili, Bridget Riley to Martin Creed, and the response in the design industry has been less than favourable.

Emerge 2011 is no ordinary graduate graphic design showcase, but an investigation into the discipline. Through the work of twelve graduates from 2011, the exhibition highlights the varying roles graphic design plays in our day to day lives, both as designers and observers.
